I must say Jamaica would not have made the 1998 World cup without the inclusion of England born players. Deon Burton , paul Hall and Simpson were totally invaluable to our participation. Their inclusion plus the playing surface at stadium helped us book our ticket.
Most of the UB40 players which have been included over the years have superior fundamental technical ability to most of the local players. What i mean by this; they know to strike the ball correctly, they know how breath properly, they understand strategic and tactical play.
Most of them however, can’t dance to save their lives. No on the ball skills.

However each cycle the big elephant stands up in the room, which is, UB40 players are rich and the local players are poor. This phenomenon cause us the game against Croatia. The JFF needs to become evolving organization and hopefully in the 2022 WCQ, this elephant does rare it’s head again. If they plan to bring England born Jamaicans they must address these issues soon in the campaign so we are not hijacked like back in 1998.

    Make a comment, respek.
